Drawer Slide Jig Generator

A 3D printable jig for drilling drawer slide screw holes at the same height on both cabinet sides, so the drawer runs true.

Holes

The slide screws run in a line at a fixed height. Keep that height the same on the left and right side of the cabinet, or the drawer binds.

The guide

Printed holes come out small. 0.2 mm lets the drill turn without wobble.

A drawer runs smoothly only if its two slides sit at the same height and square to the front. Get one side a few millimeters off and the drawer rubs, racks, or will not close. This page draws a jig you print, hook over the edge of the cabinet side, and drill through, so the slide screws land at the same height every time, on both sides.

What each setting does

Height from the edge. How far up the screw line sits from the edge you hook. This is the one number that has to match on the left and right side of the cabinet. Set it once and the jig repeats it on every side, so the drawer runs level.

Holes and spacing. Most slides take screws in a line, often on 32 mm centers. Enter how many mounting holes you want and the spacing, and the row is centered along the jig. Check your own slide, because the hole pattern varies by brand.

Screw hole diameter. Cabinet screws usually pass a 3.5 mm hole. The number you set is the finished hole; the tool adds a little clearance so a printed hole still passes the drill cleanly. A self-centering bit keeps the screw dead center.

Fence depth and panel thickness. The fence is the lip that hooks the edge and sets the height. Make it at least as deep as the panel is thick so it grips the whole edge.

Printing it

The STL comes out flat on the drilling face with the fence pointing up, so nothing needs supports. Use PLA+ or PETG, 100% infill or at least 4 walls, and 0.2 mm layers. For a whole run of cabinets, choose the bushing option and press a steel bushing in, because a drill turning in bare plastic slowly wears the hole oversize.

Before you download

The file is read back before the button turns on: every edge has to be shared by exactly two triangles, every face has to point outward, and the solid has to have a positive volume. When a setting cannot make a sound jig, the page says why instead of handing you a broken file.
