The short version: what you type stays on your device.
Your inputs
Every calculator on MakerKiln runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter - machine costs, electricity rates, prices, weights - are processed by JavaScript in your tab and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. There is no server-side processing and no account system.
Local storage
Tools remember your settings (and your light/dark theme choice) using your browser's local storage, so the page is filled in the way you left it next time you visit. That data lives on your device only. Clearing your browser's site data for makerkiln.com removes it completely.
Third-party requests
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers when a page loads. If advertising is enabled on this site, ads are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies or similar technologies as described in Google's partner sites policy; you can control personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you. We run no other analytics or tracking scripts.
Affiliate links
Some calculators end with a short list of products on Amazon, labeled as affiliate links. MakerKiln is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click one of these links, Amazon may set cookies on its own site so the purchase is credited to us. MakerKiln sets no cookies of its own and never learns what you buy.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and operations, as virtually all web hosts do. We do not use these to identify visitors.
